Eminent Domain Gone Berserk

Last year's Supreme Court decision in Kelo surprised many people. Seizing private property and giving it to private developers for "economic development" is the start of a slippery slope and it seems the Village of North Hills on Long Island is planning to go even further. It wants to take a private golf club and turn it into a "public" golf club with membership dues of roughly $18,000 per year. Everyone can afford that, right? Clearly this is taking from one private entity to benefit a select group of the "public." It's wrong and unconstitutional.
